We’re looking for a resourceful self starter to run the day to day administration of the Perth Upmarket brand and someone energetic to jump in and be the operational legs at our Upmarket events.
You’d describe yourself as passionate, have a high attention to detail and be able to work to tight time frames. The ideal person will be able to pre-empt what comes next in running a highly successful event and work effectively with minimal direction. You will have great focus and be able to make good business decisions quickly. You will love all aspects of admin and be keen to be actively involved at our events.
The Event / Administration assistant is a fluid role and includes:
General administration duties, website management, Customer Relationship Management, assessment and selection of retailers, event and financial management.
The role would suit a highly organised and meticulous person with at least 2-3 experience in administration and ideally event management experience. You will be efficient and effective with your work and be able to work effectively remotely from your home based environment. There will be ad hoc face to face meetings with the Event Director as well as in-house work as required in North Perth.
In this part-time contract role you’ll take responsibility for:
- Managing both customer, supplier and retailer communications
- Reviewing retailer registrations and identifying retailers who are the right fit for the Upmarket brand
- Completing day to day administration tasks such as responding to our customer inbox, website updates, produce reports, data entry, collate advertising, create web graphics etc.
- Managing financials- invoicing, following up sales, reconciling accounts, running reports, analysing results
- Reviewing event applications and allocating spaces
- Assisting with the managing of events including set up, running of and pack down
- Assisting with risk compliance and running of the event on the day.
The role will generally be 10- 15 hours per week but on the event weeks an additional 12-15 hours for that week (6 times per year)
Your previous experience in all areas of administration, and in particular, event management will be clearly evident in your CV and will demonstrate your ability to be autonomous in a role with exceptional administration skills.
Skills in cloud based systems such as Xero, CRM systems such as mailchimp and Word press skills will be highly regarded.
