Anthea Carboni is in the business of art and design: She make things using a variety of mostly found materials - useful things such as garments and quilts or playful things such as dolls and creatures and sometimes straightforward art for a wall. Her work is generally simple, colourful and often child-like, all of which reflect her love of clarity and the spirit of play. New work explores the theme of ‘words and pictures’- the application of hand painted images and text to fabric pieces and decorative objects.
